Default Shows Where Episodes Dealt With Scams

Family Matters- When Laura was selling Larneze Cosmetics and the females went bald. That scene where the females discover when they are bald is hilarious! Laura calls the company, but she discovers it is a fly by night business. In one episode, Eddie, Waldo, and Steve go to a bar and the owner tries to scam them by charging outrageous prices.

California Dreams- That Angela Dubouis (pronounced du-bwa) was trying to get the kids to be models or something and they had to keep giving her money and they later learned she was a fake.

If there is anymore that come to your mind, please post. Thank you.

"CHEERS"-once they learned that a guy was scamming Coach for some money, or something like that, so Sam arranged with "Harry the hat" have a poker game with the 4 of them (Sam, Harry, Coach, and the guy) and Harry would "take" him. But then the guy was too much for Harry, and he lost all of Coaches money to him-but then they found out that Harry was scamming HIM!! (I think I have some details wrong-I haven't seen the episode in a while)

Well this isn't really a scam, but Jerry and George invested in a stock that was supposed to be a "sure thing" since it kept going up, but then it started taking a tumble. I remember George persuading Jerry to put in something like $1000. I wouldn't have done it!

On one of my favorite Mary Tyler Moore episodes, Ted was talked into starting Ted Baxter's Famous Broadcaster's School. Ted put up a bunch of money to get the school started, but then the guy who was supposed to set everything up ran out on him. Ted talked Mary, Lou and Murray into teaching a class so he wouldn't have to refund everyone's money. In the end, only one guy showed up, but he refused to take his money back, so the gang had to teach a whole class just for that one guy!

"THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES"-in a 1st season episode, Jesse White played a con man who tried to "sell" the Clampetts The Hollywood Bowl, Griffith Park, and he DID "sell" them the Hollywood Freeway, but Mr. Drysdale somehow got their money back.
The shows wher Phil Silver played that con artist "Shifty" Schafer who "sold" them Central Park, and the Staten Island ferry in New York, but then had a change of heart and gave them their money back, then later in Washington D.C. he tried to "sell" them the White House and some other buildings, then in California he conned Jed into paying for a crazy scheme to rid Los Angeles of smog, but again, gave them their money back at the last minute.

Tsk, tsk, it turned hair orange. Greg bought some and tried it on himself, right before he was to graduate high school!
