Worth a shot here...
I just bought this 16mm film off ebay. It happens to be an episode of a TV show. So my question is, if I took it to a place that will put 16mm film on DVD, will they not do it because it's not a home movie, etc? Has anyone ever tried to do something like this? It's not like I'm gonna turn around and sell the DVD, but you never know what some places will allow. |

Best thing to do is call first and ask especially if you have more than one place in your area that transfers film to dvd. We have 2 places in this area and both will do it but they're not cheap.

I found two places, and neither said anything about copyrights (if this even has a copyright). One place was 20 cents a foot. How many feet is an average hour-long show? Those films they used to show us in school were always pretty long and filled up most of the reel and they were probably around an hour. Too long ago to remember.
