Default Barry Livingston on O&H

What a cute and funny kid he was on Ozzie and Harriet. I watched two episodes yesterday that really featured him as a character. And he was just that--a natural kid! "Two Small Boys and A Dog" and "The Little House Guest", both are warm, funny, charming episodes.

I remember Little House Guest and didn't care for it too much. I have to go back and see Two Small Boys And A Dog - I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten it. Also I know "Chip" was on a couple of eps - and as long as we're at it - the "Beav" was on a very early ep - I think from Season 1.

Let's just agree to disagree. It is very good for the board to get many diverse opinions.

I liked Little House Guest. I really liked the scenes with David and Ricky arguing. I think Barry Livingston was a much better child actor than his teen years on My Three Sons, probably because he WAS so natural, not like he was acting at all.

I agree, Honeybea, Barry was wonderful here. He later got too awkward on My Three Sons--prolly because of the rushed pace of filming due to Fred MacMurray's request to film all of his scenes for the entire season in a few short weeks.

And Janine, Rich and I were never in any serious disagreement

Barry Livingston, don't think they're the same person.

I just have never been really big on the kiddie themes in O & H - but young Barry was adorable in all his eps on O & H - it was more the story line that didn't get me. For the same reason I don't really care for any of the Tiger eps. The ones dealing with college life/the frat, Miss Edwards, and the boys marriages are the ones I like best.

The Barry episodes are some of my favorite. I always thought his episodes were cute.

The Little House Guest is one of my favorite. He buys Ricky that baseball so he doesn't have to fight with Dave anymore. lol

In two small boys and a dog, I like when they go to Dave's office to get legal advice. Mimss Edwards asks who is may she say is here to see Dave. And The way he says Mr. Livingston, is just so funny.

I also like the one where Barry and the boys broke the Nelsons attic window. Ozzie doesn't know, just that the Tigers are distraught at having to raise 10 dollars and they don't know how to do it. Ozzie gives them all sorts of ideas and all of them end up with the boys doing a lot of work and ending up with no money, or losing money. They have a lemonade stand in front of the Nelsons house, with terrible lemonade that the Nelsons keep buying, They collect newspapers and bottles to sell to the junk yard only to find that the junk yard doesn't buy them anymore and most of the bottles are no deposit no return. Ozzie hires them to help around the yard, takes two to push the lawn mower and they mow over Harriets flowers. They wash the car, with the top down. Guilty Ozzie places a 10 dollar bill so the boys can find it. They do, only the honest kids take it to the police station to find it's owner. They finally end up admitting they needed the 10 dollars to pay for the broken window.

Barry was my favorite neighborhood kid.

Ozzie always looked like he had a good time working with the kids too.
