They've been hot lately....Yanks just swept the A's so they're creeping closer to the Sox and Rays!

Winning 2 out of 3 would be satisfactory even though sweeping the Phils would be a lot better-lol

It should be a great series, don't count out the Marlins either. They are a good, young team.

I want to make a trip down to Shea this year, I haven't been there in probably 20 years when I was a kid.

I totally give a ton of credit to the Marlins- despite their *lackluster* fanbase and their constant rebuilding, they have stayed in the mix all year long. Strength wise, they have a lot of young guys that can hit for the stands- they lead the Majors in the home run category, with the Phillies not far behind. Their weakness would be they have hardly any veterans on their team, the only one I can think of Luis Gonzalez and he isn't even a starter. Their inexperience and horrid defense might push them out of the race come September, but we'll see. Also, they really don't have a gem that can go out once every 5/6 days and get them win and pitch solid when they need it. I thought Andrew Miller was going to be that guy for them, but he has control problems, is inefficient and is still learning. Scott Olson is the ace of their staff and he doesn't even have the best stuff. It'll be interesting.

^ Lol, yeah but the mets were under .500 for most of the season, they fired their dick lips manager, they've been underachieving the whole season.

According to Minaya, they fired him a day earlier, like that makes a difference LOL. He said as it was reported late today, that they were gonna fire him after they get off the west coast road trip.
