Default ''The dream" vs "Reality''!

What season do you like better, the "dream" season, or the season after it, which was supposed to be "reality"?

About "the dream", well, it was really sad when Bobby died. But I liked how Ray and Donna realised how silly their "problems" were and never divorced, and Donna and Jenna became best friends instead of rivals. And of course, Cliff and Jamie became a loving couple too. And even JR and Sue Ellen got back together in the very end.

But after Pamela woke up to "reality" again and found Bobby in the shower... Well, Bobby was back, but that was the only good thing about it too. Ray's and Donna's divorce just annoys the heck out of me. Because if they only had sat down together and talked maturely for five minutes, they would never have had to divorce. Gaaaaaaaah!

And by the way, why weren't Jamie and Jack shown in the opening credits during the "dream" season? They sure both were regulars at that point.

I like the season after the dream better. I loved the Wes Parmalee storyline and also the BD Calhoun storyline. Now saying that , the dream season is not as bad as some people say. The first part of that season is really good when you see the Ewing family come together. I loved Donna and Ray's storyline about their baby and the down syndrome kids. Sue Ellen's storyline was great and Linda should have won an emmy for it. The last half of the season with Angelica and Matt I didn't care for. It became too international so to speak. Half the time they weren't in Dallas anymore. I hated the way Bobby was brought back though. I would have gone for any other explanation other than that it was a dream. It completely ruined the show as far as contuality was concerned. Things also didn't fit perfectly. Ben Stivers was in the dream but afterwards he becomes Wes. Katherine is seen before the dream or at least a woman stalking Pam. What became of her? Dusty shows up before the dream but afterwards he is missing. Their is probably more that I could think of later. After the 10th season ( on DVD) however the show got worst with each consecutive season and the last 2 seasons weren't very good at all. The Dream season was easily better than them. I guess I talked alot.

I liked the Wes Parmalee and BD Calhoun storylines too. (I'm actually right in the middle of the Calhoun storyline right now.) But so many other things about this season is just... meh...

And you're right about Katherine and Dusty being around before the "dream", but then, they were suddenly gone, when the "dream" was over. I guess they hoped we would forget about it, just like they hoped we would forget about Ray and Lucy having a fling.

I do agree with you about Ray and Donna. I never wanted to see them break up and I did like Cliff and Jamie when they were happy. After the dream , he was so mean to her. I guess we lost some things when they brought Bobby back. They were determined to have him and Pam back together but she left anyway after only a year. Then they paired Ray up with Jenna. One of the worst parings in Dallas history.

Well, it worked somehow, since Donna left. But I still would have prefered if Donna and Ray had stayed together.

I just watched the episode, when Donna gave birth to her and Ray's daughter. And who's there? Not poor Ray, but that senator Dowling dude! And now, Ray is supposed to take care of Jenna's and Bobby's baby instead! Gah, how messed up is that, even for a soap opera?

I couldn't stand the dream season. DALLAS without Bobby is NOT DALLAS in my eyes. Although, the dream season was when Linda Gray gave her best performance ever on the show.
