Any news yet on Waltons season 8?

I have the first 5 seasons on DVD so I am a happy camper

I have all 7 releases from 1972-79, and it is a series that my mother, for one, really enjoys. I believe that she'd like to complete the series.

I have Seasons 1-4 on DVD right now. I saw on a Waltons fansite a few weeks back that the first seven seasons are available, and to me that was a good thing. I do not need Seasons 8 and 9, both of which came after Olivia left and it became the Rose Show. (Miss Michael Learned's leaving did more damage to the show than Cindy Williams' departure did to Laverne and Shirley IMHO.) Plus, you had the kids marrying and even having kids of their own, which was a vast departure from the good old days of the early years.
