Default Just discovered this great show!

My daughter has the complete series and I am watching it for the first time and loving it! I am just starting on season 2.

I did the same thing, but I checked them out at the library. Isn't it cool to be able to just watch them one after another? I was sad when I finished the last season though and there weren't anymore.

YAY!!! Converts!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Gilmore Girls was truly one of a kind!!! It was smart, sweet, hillarious, and so much more!! There's like a void in my TV schedule without it!!!

But Penny Lane, Season 2 is great!!! Try not to fall in love with Jess!!!

Haha I agree. The first episode I caught on TV was the one where Rory starts Yale. I was hooked and immediately ran out and bought the DVD's as they came out. Seasons 1-3 are my all time favorite and of course, I fell in love with Jess!

He is still Rory's best b/f without a doubt!

Oh and watch slowly. It's really sad when you rush through them and realize there are no more left.

I think this was one of the best shows on TV and I'm not sure another show could ever quite reach its level.

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!! Gilmore Girls is one of my all-time favorite shows!!!

I agree that Jess was Rory's best boyfriend!! I loved Logan and all, and Dean was great the first season before he got all crazy possesive, but nobody beat Rory and Jess's connection!!

The characters in the show were so sharply written and drawn, right down to the townies like Taylor and Ms. Patty and Babbette!!!

How could we live without Kirk, Paris, Mrs. Kim??

Yeah it makes me really sad that Rory and Jess always had bad timing. It seems like in the end though their timing may have been right. I wonder if the relationship didn't fail in real life if they would have made her end up with Jess?

I DVR the re-runs on ABC family and Sookie's wedding just aired. ::::sigh:::: I always watch the scene where Rory and Jess have their first kiss over and over.

I think season 2 is my favorite one.

One of the best scenes indeed!!!!

And I thought they made a cute couple in real life!!! I think Milo with Hayden is kinda weird....I liked him with Alexis.

I was kinda hoping that when Rory saw Jess that last time, and they kissed, it would mean something more to her...or when she broke up with Logan, she'd look up Jess!!! I mean, he's the one who got her to go back to Yale pretty much!!!

Honestly, I think that was the plan. Everything pointed to Rory and Jess being together when the show ended. I think Milo didn't want to do it anymore.

Milo and Hayden is a bit weird but at least they're happy??

I would so love a TV movie or something for some closure to tie up those loose ends, but only if it's written by Amy!!! She said in an interview a long time ago, she had the entire last scene of the show worked out in her head. I wonder what it would've been like. I feel bad for Jezebel James...I thought it was a cute idea...but nothing can beat Gilmore!! I wish Amy had stayed that last season!!
When ASP left, the show just wasn't the same. It was still great, but I wasn't too keen on the April storyline...though the actress was cute and won me over with her relationship with Luke. I just didn't like how it broke up L/L!!

I actually liked Jezebel James...I was one of the only ones though. Of course it was no Gilmore but it was still a good show.

I heard of alot of Gilmore fans boycotting her new show because she left Gilmore....do you think that had anything to do with it failing?

I liked April and I liked the side of Luke we saw. I HATED the storyline between Lorelai and Christopher....they got married! That was rediculous. I also hated that Rory wasn't even affected when Jess kissed her.

I know she loved Logan but I thought she'd at least pondering it a while.

I would love a tv movie too but I read Alexis Bledel isn't sure if she'd do it.

Yeah, the Christopher thing was over the top. Their timing was never right either. Plus, Lorelai belongs with Luke...everyone knows that!!!!

As for Jezebel James not doing well...I don't know...I didn't hear about the boycott, but that wouldn't surprise me because a lot of fans were pretty upset she left the show. Some people speculate she purposefully wrote the show into a hole the sixth season because she was angry about not being able to agree on a contract or something. I don't know if that's true, but I do think the last season was the weakest, obviously. Amy's writing/directing/producing was sharp...the last season, although I loved it, I will always love Gilmore Girls, it just wasn't up to par with the others. You could tell Amy had left.

There just isn't a dramedy on TV like Gilmore today...and I don't think there will ever be!!

I didn't hear about Alexis not wanting to do the TV movie..why do you think that is??

Oh, and Lauren was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO robbed of an Emmy year after year!! Hell, the entire show was robbed of the thousands of accolades it deserved!!! I know that what the fans think is more important than award recognition, but it would've been nice to see GG at least nominated a couple of times! I think it more than deserved it!! I think if it were on another network, they wouldn't have snubbed their snobby little noses at this gem!! Same with Everwood!!! Shows on The WB/(CW now) seemed to get the shaft because they weren't/aren't taken as seriously. But hell, I know Gilmore Girls and Everwood were so much better than some of the other nominated shows!!!
