Default Who has visited the sites of UM cases?

Sorry if this type of thread was previously posted, but I couldn't find one. Just wondering how many of you have visited a case site from UM?

I have been by Resurrection Cemetery and the Queen Mary. I also worked at the hotel where Gail Delano committed suicide (though I worked there MANY years afterward). I've been through Gulf Breeze, FL many many times as I am a local. (That was the UFO hoax case and a sight of one of the convenience store killings). I've driven past the Comedy Store in L.A., but that's a pretty popular place anyway. I've also visited the Bourbon Orleans hotel in New Orleans, which is supposedly haunted and previously on UM, I believe. I am sure I may have been to some others but can't remember off the top of my head. We have a plant in Horicon, WI so if I get to go there, I want to try to find the Tallman's old house. I didn't get to last time I was up there. I know someone from here visited the church where the Swain murders occurred.

Just thought it'd be interesting to see who's been where. I travel nationwide for my job and try to visit the sites of cases if I know I'll be near one (especially if it's creepy).

Next week, I am scheduled to go to Wooster, OH (which is near Massillon where the Wackers lived). I have no idea where the house is though.

I havent been to anything specifically related to unsolved mysteries, but I live not too far from where Marlena Childress was living before she was abducted. Also, there is another missing child case and I dont think it was ever on UM, but it was about a little girl named Ashley LaShay Jones, and her aunt was watching her while the parents were at work, and there was also an older sister and when the sister got home from school, the aunt made her get in the car and they took off driving east through the state and they stayed at a hotel and stuff and the aunt wouldnt let the girl get stuff out of the trunk without her telling her what to get and watching very closely.... and the aunt was eventually convicted of either murder or kidnapping.... they never found the body though.... the little girl hasnt been seen since.....

I looked up the case online a few years back and found out that she was incarcerated at the prison about 3 miles from me, and its the same prison I would pass each day on the way to school.... The very next morning, she was mowing the prison yard as I passed by......

Well, my uncle lives in the same subdivision in Georgetown Texas where Rachel Cooke vanished. Ive been there many times. I asked him about it and he remembers the search teams going through everryones properties.

I live in Arlington, Texas which is where the Patsy Wright poisoning happened.

Arlington is also the notorious site of the non-Unsolved Mysteries case of Amber Hagerman. The little girl whose murder prompted the formation of the Amber Alert system. When I was in college I used to frequent the area where the abduction occured. I still drive by it all the time (quietly and reserved).

My grandfather and I used to go fishing and boating at Lake Lewisville which is about an hour north of where I am. We used to go to the same area where Stephanie Booker was hit by that speed boat that left her disfigured.

And I have been to Glen Rose and canoing on the Brazos river where that mother was repeatedly raped by two men while her child was forced to watch.

Ive also been to the site of the JFK assasination for you conspiracy theorists.

I'm sure theres others. Thats all that came up off the top of my head.

I've been to many of the general areas but not so many actual sites. Gettysburg, of course. I think I've been to Cheyenne, Wyoming near where Don Kemp disappeared.

I visited the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas last year (the old book despoistory) where JFK was shot although I didn't go down to the street where it happened.

I remember posting on a thread like this a couple years ago. The Night Stalker's final shooting victim was 2 miles from where I was living at the time. And the eerie twist was nearly 20 years later (minus about 2 months) I was working as a canvasser and ended up on that same street knocking on doors for a roofing company. And sure enough, I ended up at the exact house. Odd moment.

The first I ever heard of Ted Bundy was when I visited the Seattle area and the cab driver started raving to me and my sisters to be careful about the then-unknown serial killer. He also killed a girl in the same town where we went to college.

Hmm... Currently, I live about fifteen miles from the campsite where Nyleen Kay Marshall vanished.

I used to live in the area where Father John Kerrigan disappeared. Granted, I didn't live IN the actual town, but I drive through it regularly when I go home to visit my family.

I've camped up in Polebridge, Montana, where Bo Tanner is suspected to have burnt down his church and then vanished...

...and I used to spend quite a bit of time in a house where a double murder occurred. While the murder itself was not profiled on UM, it was featured in the Dannion Brinkley segment. He predicted that the murderer was a young man of slender build who was attending college in the Northwest. The murderer ended up being a young man of slender build who was attending college in the Northwest.... Creepy.
