Default If you could ask Jim Nabors anything...

Hi. I wanted to know that if you had the chance to talk to Jim Nabors and ask him anything about Gomer Pyle USMC, or TAGS, or anything else in his career, what kind of things would you want to know about? I appreciate the input. Thanks!

Well i guess the first question i would ask him is, do you prefer men or women. JUST KIDDING! The first thing i would ask him is, what was Frank Sutton like in real life. I'm a big fan of both.

I agree, she was nice looking. She's still alive, in fact somewhere on this site someone posted a recent picture of her. I wish i could find it for you.

Somewhere in the Gomer Pyle section is a post from Frank Sutton's nephew. He posted some messages there maybe sometime in the last couple of years (correction: it was in 2001... I guess I just found it within the last couple of years).

Sutton, by all accounts, was an incredibly nice guy in real life. I've seen him on reruns of some "Password" episodes on GSN, and you can tell that he was a real nice guy in real life.

Sutton's Sgt Carter character was one of my all time favorite "second banana" roles in TV history... I think that he and Edward Platt ("The Chief" from Get Smart) are two of the most underrated actors/characters ever to appear on TV.

I found the thread with comments from Sutton's newphew:

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...ad.php?t=13684

The title of the thread is "A Much Underrated Talent - Frank Sutton"

His nephew's comments start at #2.
