Cool

My favorite season of "The Lucy Show" is season 1 because the comedy was excellent and there was alot of great chemisty between Lucy and Viv.

I really don't have a favorite season of "Here's Lucy". I pretty much like them all the same.

Season 1, definitely, because it's closest in tone to "I Love Lucy", thanks to the presence of Vivian Vance, Desi Arnaz (as executive producer), and the ILL writers. Lots of great episodes: the girls install a shower, the girls form a volunteer firefighter squad, Lucy gets $2000 from the bank by mistake and misplaces it, Lucy takes a job as a part-time secretary (not for Mr. Mooney). The list goes on and on. If you're an "I Love Lucy" fan who doesn't care for Lucy's later series, you should at least check out the first season of "The Lucy Show".

I totally agree! Those first 30 episodes were some of Lucille Ball's best work EVER. Though I also give very high marks for her performance in the second season episode "Lucy Conducts the Symphony." That hilarious episode always amazes me because after about the first five minutes, not a single word is spoke during the entire show. Ball proved her comedic genius included non-verbal comedy. I've seen this episode so many times and it still laugh out loud watching it.

Yes, its nice to see Lucy in color but the episodes in season one are hilarious and just great to watch. They can compare with ANYTHING Lucy did at any point of her 23 years on t.v.

I knew you wouldn't like that and i'm sorry, but it was such a joy to see her in color and looking so GREAT! You're right though, when i go to look at them again, i'll probably tire of those color ones and yearn for the better made black and white episodes. It's just that i hadn't seen them in so many years, and after seing Lucy as an old woman all those years, it was so nice to see her younger and more agile, and the top of her form and all!
