Default If you pay close attention, Steve wasn't that NERDY around.........

Eddie-He thought Eddie was cool and looked up to him so he acted different

Mother Winslow-always gave her a compliment and never did anything dumb

Waldo-Thought he was a IDIOT and always seemed be normal around him

He only seemed to be at his NERDIEST when he was around Carl, Harriet, and Laura.

For example, in the ep when him and eddie shared an APT, steve was acting NORMAL and kind of COOL. he just LOOKED and SOUNDED like a NERD but was more of a Normal Guy, especially around EDDIE

anyone agree?

Friends bring out different sides of people. They compliment each other. Maybe Eddie brought out the "cool" in Urkel lol.

It does, when I was growing up and was hanging around a certain guy who I thought was the coolest, I always would tell myself, DON"T DO OR SAY ANYTHING DUMB around him-lol

It's like i knew I had to act different

Yeah, maybe he wasnt that nerdy to them, but Waldo was so not smart, and Steve is the smnartest ever, so of course he think Waldo is dumb. Even nerds can have diffrent sides, I guess.

I liked Steve's bond with Mother Winslow. Estelle was one of my favorite characters, and I hated to see her phased out as the years went on.

I said this in another thread...I liked their bond too, and how she'd always be extra nice to Steve!!!

I actually thought a lot of the supporting/minor characters much more interesting than Steve/Laura, etc. Estelle, Rachel, Weasel, Waldo, Maxine, Lt. Murtaugh...they were all great and brought something special to the table. I loved how Lt. would always hit on Rachel and she'd always cut him down.

I agree, they did have a bond with each other and I enjoyed their interactions.

Yeah, I've always noticed that. He was definitely nerdiest around Carl I'd say, just because of the accidents they always had together-LOL.

He was clumsy around Carl and Harriet, irritating around Laura, bright and respectful around Mother Winslow, really smart compared to Waldo, and nerdy in school.
