Will Smith: 'I have an open marriage' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Will Smith has disclosed that he and wife Jada Pinkett Smith often talk about having sex with other people.

Smith, who earlier admitted that divorce wasn't an option for the couple, told Reveal that an open relationship is good for their marriage.

He said: "Our perspective is, you don't avoid what's natural and you're going to be attracted to people.

"And if it came down to it, then one would say to the other: 'Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now, I'm not going to if you don't approve of it'."

Smith suggested that his marriage would survive a permitted affair because of his and wife Jada's honesty.

He commented: "In our marriage vows, we didn't say 'forsaking all others'. We said 'you will never hear I did something afterwards'. Because if that happens the relationship is destroyed."

Yeah Will, we'll see how much Jada doesn't believe in divorce when you're caught by the papperazzi with some young hottie.

yeah, i wondered about that too. i mean, unless he gets caught with his pants down- and literatelly- he probably thinks that it is ok to sleep around. but isn't marriage about two people not just in love with one another but its about being faithful and trustworthy and not doing things behind each others backs? so in this sense, with our Will there is no way!

I think the Scientology is starting to cloud Will's judgement.

well, for some people it still possible to remain happy and live life as they do without the need of getting married to someone else. but when you are in a relationship with someone, you just cannot break whatever vows you have made together and have sex with whoever you feel like it. that is known as being unfaithful.

Unless I see Smith saying this on tape, I'm not buying it. Sounds like a misquote or something taken way out of context. I hope so anyway. I like them as a couple, and I would find that disappointing.

I really like them as a couple too! I was hoping they would be one of those marriages to prove that not all Hollywood marriages are doomed!

It was also said Jada and Will are Bi-sexual-lol It was on the radio

I remember him saying this on Oprah like in the late 90's early 2000.

At least they are honest with each other. I would rather for you to tell me then to sneak and do it behind my back.
