Episode title/season: Dylan's Dad Dies - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

One of the 90210 episodes I remember clearly is when Dylan finds out that his dad died. I remember watching the scene over and over where they start playing that song by The Williams Brothers called "Can't Cry Hard Enough" (STILL haven't been able to find that song!), and he turns around and sees himself as a boy and walks over and comforts him.

Does anyone know the season/title of this episode? It was so touching and made me cry.

Dylan's father was "killed" in Season 3 (he later returned in the final season--he had been in the witness protection program). I found the following episodes in which you were refering. They are available on Season 3 DVD.
Season 3, Episode 21: Dead End
Original Air Date: 10 February 1993
After dissolving the trust find, Dylan, Jack and Christine enjoy the good life together on a friend's yacht at Marina del Rey. But they are all under observation by unidentified men. Meanwhile, finances force Kelly's mother to put their house up for sale. Brenda, Donna and Cindy take a class in self-defense. Brandon continues gambling and starts losing money totaling $500 which makes Duke rather angry, but lets Brandon slide his losses. Andrea get invited on a date with Jordan. Also, David meets with Serge Menkin, his new recording manager, who insists that David record some different rhythm tracks.

After his father, Jack, is killed in a mob-related car-bombing, Dylan struggles with his inner self urging him back to old drinking habits before he learns the shocking truth about his father's parole and true colors from Christine who revealed to be FBI agent. Meanwhile, Kelly continues to be obsessed with losing weight and begins starving herself. Steve turns down giving any more recording advice to David by warning him about the dangers of the music industry. Also, Brandon's losing streak continues as his betting continues.

Thanks! I'll have to rent Season Three so I can kind of figure out the storyline again. I just loved that one scene for some reason. I remember his dad coming back, though.

you can go on youtube.com and type it in there and it will come up for you to listen to. It is a beautiful song.
