Default Eddie was Cool, Eddie was a Ladies Man, Eddie had a Swagger, but..........

WALDO HERALDO FALDO was his only Friend???-lol And he had the nerve to tell steve that he didn't want to be seen with him in public but was ok with being seen with WALDO?????-lol

Why couldn't there be another normal guy to hang with them to make Eddie look a little normal?-lol All the kids at Eddie's school and Waldo was his RIGHT HAND MAN?

What's wrong with Waldo? He may be dumb but he was still cool. He later got Maxine! He hung out with that Fuffner guy before he hung out with Edit and Steve. That Fuffner guy was a bad dude. Then later on he hung out with Weasel (Dudley from DS)...Weasel and Waldo made a good team.

He wasn't a good fit with Eddie. And Waldo was not cool, but Hell of a dancer. It should have been one more guy like eddie so that the Eddie character didn't look as strange

Maybe the idea was to MAKE Eddie stand out more.

Waldo was dumb, but he was a good friend, and I think he is cool. But yeah, he was Eddie's only real friend.

I think that Eddie hung out with Waldo a lot because he was a tab naive and he would basically do what Eddie told him. BUT Waldo stuck with Eddie through thick and thin, not like Rodney (from seasons 1 & 2) who always got Eddie into trouble.

Kind of, But Screech was more of a goofball and was actually smart.

But you can have a best friend who is the complete opposite of you. Also in the end Steve did become Eddie's best friend, they actually started to hang out with each other.

They made Screech both smart and stupid. He'd be good at science and help Kelly with her science homework, but yet was clueless in regards to obvious things.

So maybe Screech had Asperger's, just like me? I don't know, of course, because I haven't watched that show since the mid 90s, but from your description of him, it sounds like a real possibility.

Now, about Eddy being friends with Waldo and Steve, except that it made a good show, probably happened because they were his real friends. They were always there for him, even when they knew, that he did something wrong, in a way that jerks like Rodney and Weasel never would have been.
