Who would have thunk it that Jeff Stone got to Hitsville USA. Anybody ever hear his Motown stuff? I heard one tune "A Little Bit For Sandy" from 1968. Its good, it pretty pop but enjoyable, and it should have been a hit.
I really want to hear him do Marvin Gaye's "Your Unchaning Love" |

R. Dean Taylor wrote & produced the song, He's the one who sang "Indiana Wants Me" from 1970

His name is spelled different on the label than he spells his name. Wonder why?

You'd be amazed at who recorded for Motown...
Many artists you'd never expect like BOBBY DARIN, FRANKIE VALLI, PAUL PETERSEN, SOUPY SALES, BRUCE CHANNEL, LESLEY GORE, etc. |

Got it wrong it was "Chained" that Paul Petersen recorded. His version came out in 1967, and Marvin Gaye's came out a year later. Not sure if Petersen's was recorded first though.

Here is Paul Petersen doing the original version of "Chained" cut in 1967. Marvin Gaye's version was not released until 1968. I have to admit I prefer Paul Petersen's version. |
