Default Will the Complete Series Set Include the Uncut Version of Season 1?

I hope it does and I think that First Look has the uncut version. Weren't there some original uncut season 1 episodes on the 'best of' DVD?

Also will the season 1 & 2 special features be carried over to this set? I hope they are but probably not because Urban Works released those seasons.

Since I only have seasons 1-3 I might get this set. It would be nice if they included some cast interviews and more bloopers but I don't expect a bonus disc.

I hope so? If so I will be buying this box set. Right now I only have season 2,3and 4 and I still have my Columbia House DVD set. So I may just order this box set.

I doubt if season 1 will be UNCUT since it has already been released on DVD. This is a set of all the seasons combined together, NOTHING NEW

So don't expect anything new with season 1 or season 7

I agree with Solomon. Why would a box set have UNCUT seasons when they released them with CUTS in them when they were released as individual seasons?

Exactly, It's not a RE-RELEASE, it's a RE-RELEASE of what was already out there-lol

They didn't even put the opening credits of season 7 intact (according to Solomon). So why would they care to put an episode intact?

The edited episodes were a mistake that Carsey Werner made when they sent the episodes to Urban Works (same thing happened with Roseanne and 3rd Rock from the Sun when Anchor Bay released them). Carsey Werner then got hold of the unedited episodes and sent those to the companies. So First Look DOES have unedited season 1 episodes (there were 1 or 2 UNEDITED season 1 episodes on the best of DVD).

Urban Works released seasons 1 and 2. First Look is releasing the Complete Series Set. I'm not sure if First Look can release Urban Works' discs of seasons 1 and 2 in the series set. SO they might have to make new discs (of seasons 1 and 2) thus including season 1 unedited. That will happen only if this is a newly produced set with a collector's box.

If First Look can release the Urban Works' discs then it might be just the seasons shrinkwrapped together.

Well if I see from the Review on here that season 1 is UNCUT then I will buy the set but I doubt it

And if that is true, that is sad for those who already bought the individual seasons...those customers should be able to return those dvd's and get new ones INTACT.

gotsmart, where did you get that information? From what I heard, Carsey Werner sent over syndicated prints because they were cheaper to produce on DVD, not because it was a mistake. And you'd think after the show switched distributors, First Look would have rereleased season 1 unedited if they did get the unedited prints.

If they did, though, I might consider buying it, although I already do have the first 8 seasons on DVD. Maybe if they throw in a few new special features, too. But, knowing how cheap First Look is, highly unlikely.

There is an article on tvshowsondvd.com regarding the Roseanne/Cosby/3rd Rock issue and it seemed like Carsey Werner didn't even know that they were syndicated cuts (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Site-News/3975).

You are right the sydication prints are cheaper to produce since they usually are already remastered, so that could've been the reason.

Well it seems that First Look has the uncut season 1 prints of The Cosby Show because of the 'best of disc' and that Carsey Werner has the uncut versions. I don't know why they haven't re-released season 1. Also Anchor Bay hasn't re-released season 1 of Roseanne and seasons 1 and 2 of 3rd Rock from the Sun (the 3rd Rock 'best of' disc had uncut episodes that were edited on the season sets).
