Thought Lies lies...all lies

Lucy was a fibber, whether it was to hide something, to get what she wanted, to keep a secret, to impersonate someone else, etc. she really knew how to lie and sometimes get away with it.

Can we list all of her lies?

You may add the lies of any character who appeared on the show.

THE QUIZ SHOW: she was told to lie to Ricky abt her former husband in order to win the cash prize. She ended up having to lie abt two men when she thought the bum who arrived at the door was from the contest.

GIRLS WANT TO GO TO A NIGHTCLUB: Lucy (along with Ethel) pretends to be Ricky's blind date, a country bumpkin.

THE DIET: Lucy had to pretend to NOT know Ricky during the audition.

Lucy lied to the lady at the employment agency, when she said that she and Ethel were candy makers.

This is a doozy. Lucy lied to Caroyln Appleby about hosting a part with a bunch of movie stars and then had to rent a bunch of costumes to impersonate them. Of course she told her about dancing with Van Johnson, although that turned out alright until she brought up the movie star party.

She also lied and schemed (along with Ethel) abt Caroline's glasses.

She did tell quite a few fibs. Remember the episode where she has to tell the
truth for 24 hours? It was really hard for her at first. Then I think she actually
enjoyed telling her so-called "friends" what she really thought. Example-
Carolyn's new furniture, Marion's new hat.

"...I've waited 25 years for you to lay that egg!"

Lucy then went on to lie abt speaking italian.

In THE SEANCE, Lucy tells Mr. Meriweather they are going to have a seance. Ethel portrays MEDIUM RAYA. They proceed to convince Mr. Meriweather that he is in contact with "Tillie".

Lucy lied to Ricky abt calling the car insurance agent just so she could learn to drive.

Lucy lied at first abt how the cars "got that way".

Lucy lied to the car dealer guy by saying she works for a tv studio who is searching for an old cadillac.

ALL THESE LIES IN ONE EPISODE!

No one has mentioned Lucy's "comeuppance" about her lying, that is in "Lucy Cries Wolf." She calls Ricky, twice lying about a "big tall fiendish-looking man" who forced his way in, then she lied to the Mertzes because (she tells Ricky, actually lying to him again) he was still there and threatened her. Then after Ricky comes home and they find out she is hiding on the ledge, she continues to lie about the man being there; then finally when she really is abducted by 2 masked men and returns tied up and gagged, they will not believe the truth.

Let me edit this thread by saying you can add the lies of any of the characters who appeared on ILL...that should make this thread more interesting. Not that Lucy didn't lie enough.

Well hell they lied to Mr. Benjamin! Making him think they hadn't whacked him! They posed him all up and then started talking to him as if nothing has happened!
