As a lot of you probably know, "Mad About You" is now on in syndication on "TV Land" I am not sure if it was "TV Land" or "Nick at Night" that had it for a brief period but then canceled it. In any event, there is one episode in which a scene from it was used in a commercial for the syndicated episodes that "really" did something to me! It was a relatively early episode and it dealt with the character of Fran being on a real physical fitness kick. After walking all the way to the Buchman's apartment, she very bluntly said to both Paul and Jamie, "feel my ass"! After withstanding a small amount of embarrassment, both parties did as was requested. After touching Fran's butt both were very impressed with how toned up she had become. In the promotions for the syndicated show, the announcer suggested things that the viewer might be "Mad About". These things included the dog, learning new tricks ect. At one point, he actually said, "or you might be mad about Fran's Tush"! In some of these scenes, there was some ad lib by the characters. At the point in which the announcer said this, we hear Fran saying something to the effect of "there you go. What do you think?" I am going to have to confess that Fran's Tush is certainly something that I am mad about!
Those of you who frequent a site known as "Jump the Shark" know that I posted a message there in which I used almost the exact words that I did in this my last paragraph! I am sorry if I am sounding redundant! It is just that, since no one responded to my message there, I thought I would see if I might have better luck on this site. Take care! |

Are you asking us what episode it is, or are you just staring a discussion?-LOL. I saw the episode before, remember the scene clearly, but can't remember the episode. I can look it up, though. A very funny scene - I always liked Fran, it's too bad they cut her out at the end of the show. I think the episode was from either season 3 or 4, don't recall which.

Although I look at Fran's tush as being very hard to surpass or even equal, there was an episode that I saw on TV Land about a week ago that makes me feel that she has some pretty stiff compitition! The compition that I am talking about comes from Paul's mother. The episode in which this event took place in was the one in which Paul and Jamie attempted to go to the Jersey Shore so that could eat at a clam bake restaurant that they had such fond memories of. One side plot of this episode was the fact that Paul's parents were buying a new couch and wanted to give their old one to Lisa who, like usual, was down on her luck. Who better than Paul and Irea to use as free labor in terms of hauling away the old coach to make room for the new? With Paul and Jamie sitting at the kitchen table Sylvia was standing at the counter fixing them a snack. With her back to the couple, she looked like quite a number in her jeans! Over on the "Gimme a Break!" section of this stie, I have posted a bunch of different messages about my fondness for Hazel Shermet and how good she looks in her old age. She was already in her sixties when she made her first appearance on that series. Well, Cynthia Harris who played Paul's mom was about sixty when this episode was made. I would say that, in addition to being tough compitition for Fran in terms of having a sexy rear, I would also say that she is tough compitition for Hazel in terms of looking good in her old age! In closing I would just like to say, thank God for the manufacturers of designer jeans!

Because I was unsuccessful in stimulating any conversation in my last attempt, I am now going to bring a couple of other old threads to the top of the page. I would now like to put my opinion about the babes on this sereis in a nutshell. I would say that Jamie had the best bosoms and Fran and Sylvia had the best rear ends. Yes I realize that Sylvia is older than my mother, but, what can you do? Although I do not think that Lisa had the best of anything, I thought that her hair and her facial features helped her look pretty nice. In other words, I would be thankful for a date with her if I knew that I could not score with any other the others! |

How is the sexiness of the babes on this sereis unrelated to the topic of this series?

In my second to last post on this thread, I mentioned how much age difference there is between my and Cynthia Harris (Sylvia Buchman). Well, it seems to me that the attractiveness of older women is a hot topic at the moment! Is you go over to the "Three's Company" page of this site, you will see dozens of post about the appearance of Suzanne Somers who is in her early sixties. There are all sorts of points of view about the surgey that she has surely had. In any event, because this seems to be a topic of interest at the time, I have decided to bring up a bunch of old threads on different pages that have to do with this subject. So far, I have done one on "Gimme a Break!" and then I responded to the "Three's Company" one itself. I think that I will do "Will and Grace" next. |

Very often when an actor or actress has a birthday, someone posts a message about it on the page of the sereis that that person was a part of. A good example is the "Cheers" page yesterday evening. It seems that Kirstie Alley just turned fifty-four. As the population continues to age, the numbers of the birthday get higher and higher! I have decided to make a new tradition out of the situation! Whenever an older babe has a birthday, I will go to a bunch of pages that already have posts about an older woman and bring them to the top. This might be an interesting way to stimuate some conversation. Throughout this thread, I have mentioned several times how hot Cynthia Harris (Sylvia Buchman) looked for her age! On top of this, we are only one year away from the time that the chicks who played Lisa and Fran hit the half-century mark! So far, I have already pulled up threads on the pages of "Will and Grace" and "Three's Company". I have a bunch more to do before the morning is over! |

This is one of a bunch of threads that I am bringing to the tops of pages this evening. The thing that I am celebrating is the forty-third birthday of actress Nancy Mckeon. For those of you who are not familiar with her, she played Jo from "Facts of Life". In any event, I mentioned earlier on this thread that, when a babe who I admire has a birthday over forty, I will bring to the tops of pages threads regarding other women who are getting on in years. I would say that cynthia Harris (Sylvia Buchman) is a very good example! After responding to the one about Nancy, I went on and brought another thread to that top of that page. This thread is called "Unpopular" and it is in regards to Hazel Shermet. For the record, I would just like to starte that she is my favorite older woman of all times! In between then and now, I have also raised to the tops of pages threads regarding older women on the pages of "Friends" and "Gimme a Break!" Have fun reading them! |

Because this thread was the very last one on the first page, I have decided to bring it to the top. There are several things about Fran that I would be very interested in getting feedback on. The first is what people think of how often she referred to her own behind. On top of this, how do you feel about how consistantly she referred to it as her ass? And lastly, how do you think that this fit in with the overall boldness of her character? |
