Probably for 4/5 years at least, maybe a year less, maybe a year longer but it came out around 2004/2005. I got mine late 2006 I believe, so it probably came out early to mid 2005.

Does it have all the original music intact? Are all the episodes restored with nothing cut out?

I'm pretty sure all the music is in tact. And what do you mean restored? Most people taped on their vcrs or with their DVRs the series when it was on Fox Family. I believe that's the channel my entire TWY collection is taped on but I may be wrong; I haven't watched it in a couple months. I'm not going to name any sites, unless you are interested, you can PM me, but their are torrent sites you can go to download all TWY. You can dl the whole series as one, or individual seasons, which ever you prefer if you don't want to buy the collection from somebody yourself.

I'm pretty sure everything is in it's original length. I forget how much I payed though for my TWY collection because I didn't buy it recently or within the last year but $49/50 doesn't seem the worst. Some sites offer a lot more for boxsets of long running, popular sitcoms such as TWY. I'm just giving alittle insight though
. Are you thinking/contemplating about buying it, just curious?

That $49.99 price makes me skeptical; I'd expect it to be a couple hundred dollars. I mean, how much of the cost is accounted for in paying for the rights to all those songs?
With a price so low you'd think it'd be in higher demand than Hannah Montana tickets! |

I have a 17-disc set of The Wonder Years (which I want to get rid of so if anyone is interested PM me). I'm sure all the sets are the same, except for # of discs. Shoving 115 episodes on 7 discs must have killed the quality, as the 17 disc one I have is 7/10 quality-wise (8/10 at best).
The shows are taped off ABC Family and are not completely in tact (meaning pieces are cut for syndication). I've seen the 17-disc set and a seperate 12-disc set, and both are exactly the same. I'm assuming the 7 disc one is the same as well. The music is in fact. No editing there as far as I know. |

James, not I wouldn't be skeptical, It's a great deal. I didn't play $100/$150 some dollars, I payed around $40-60 I think, I can't remember the exact amount. You also have to remember it's good quality but not the best (not DVD quality) so that dumbs down the price. But it is the show in it's entirety, except I can't find 2 episodes in my TWY collection set, one where Wayne meets Bonnie and I forget the other episode. Also, some sets episodes don't show the beginning theme song, it just has the guitar in the beginning, then goes straight to the beginning. Depends on the episode, who's filming it and what set it is. Also, what TV station it was filmed on at the time.

Yeah I have the 7 disc set with the same cover and all as the one this guy is selling or w/e. The music is in tact, you are right. And that is because when these distributors, such as CBS Paramount or whoever it may be, creating and distributing these popular TV sitcoms season dvds, it takes so long to get the music rights, it takes forever. TWY uses so many songs, that it may never get distributed, as not an illegal copy of some sort. Re-runs on N@N, Fox Family, ION and other stations keep the music because you don't need rights to show it, you need rights to obtain the music to sell it/distribute it. So people tape the re-runs which use all the music and that is how that works. James, I would def. suggest getting the 7 disc set. The 17 disc set isn't bad but I like what I have (I need to re-up on the final season tho , which is the worst in my mind btw).
