Default B Movies you'd never admit to liking

what campy/over the top/poorly acted/poorly scripted/cheesy special effects/has been or d list actors low budget b movies do you secretly enjoy?

i like a few tv movies that other people would probably deem as bombs. one is one special victory with john larroquette who coaches a special olympics basketball team as part of his community service. its kind of cliche as they end up loving him and vise versa but i love it even though its as cheezy as cheez whiz.

the other is babycakes with ricki lake. basically an obese plain jane falls for hunky craig sheffer (a river runs through it) and he reluctantly but ultimately falls in love with her after ricki lake character conquers self esteem issues and he conquers the wrath of his ubercontrolling girlfriend. equally cheesy but both feel good movies.

^ I liked Babycakes myself. That was a cute movie. I also have to admit really liking the 1988 TV flick Dance 'Til Dawn, even though it is REALLY cheesy. For more on Dance 'Til Dawn - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094941/

There's too many to name for me, but I never make a secret out of my likes or dislikes. I never feel an obligation to hate a box office bomb, or to love a blockbuster.

Howard the Duck. (gotta love Lea Thompson c. 1986 with that ugly duck...)

Also. Troop Beverly Hills. That movie is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cheesy, even for a family movie, but gah. I love it.

Oh, and Barbarella is pretty bad too. But I like it anyway.

Ohhhhhh I forgot! Smart House (it was a made-for-Disney TV movie that was released in 1999). I loved that TV movie so much when it first came out. Disney was playing this TV movie recently, and geez. It's pretty bad.

Well, since I have my DVD collection list sitting next to me, let's see what I find that someone would probably be like, YOU LIKE THAT???

Too Many Girls (1940) - It's a musical, so it naturally smells of swiss. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033173/

SST: Death Flight (1977) - WOW; so cheesy that MST3K mocked it. But look at all the names in there: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076650/

The two I Dream of Jeannie TV Movies. Yeah, they pretty much sucked, but it's still Jeannie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089318/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102089/

Nashville Beat (1989) - IT'S ADAM-12...in TENNESSEE! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100228/

The Long, Long Trailer and Forever, Darling (1954/1956) - Cuz it's Lucy and Desi. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047191/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049225/

She Lives! (1973) - Actually, I just like the ridiculousness of the title. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070683/

Black Market Baby (1977) - Solely for the fact that I love it when two favorite actors are in the same project. I've never actually seen this with the sound on. lol http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075762/

Sin of Innocence (1986) - Goofy title, goofier plot. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091958/

The Running Man (1987) - Just cuz. lol http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093894/

The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975) - Cute movie...cute lead. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072653/

The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988), The Trial of The Incredible Hulk (1989), and The Death of The Incredible Hulk (1990) - Fan of the show, so I gotta love the reunion movies...even with their horrible titles.

Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus (2004) - It's cute! I have the follow-up movie on tape, but never watched it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0413900/

Chasing Secrets (1999) - It has about 40 titles, but it's a cute story. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181365/

I absolutely love The Rocky Horror Picture Show!! LOL!! But only when you go to a theater that has a live performance on stage!! I can still do most of the dances from it too!! Comes from spending every Friday night for a year going to the theater watching and performing in it! LOL!!

All High Quality productions.

If one of my fav actors is in it, I want to own it, no matter how cheesy. Thus why I have much cheese.

i LOVED those two movies growing up! i could never get enough of both of those & would watch them all the time when they were on tv.

there were tons of movies disney channel made earlier that are cheesy now, but i loved them at the time. zenon, my date with the president's daughter, the luck of the irish, double teamed were among those. actually, i wouldn't mind watching these movies again if disney actually played anything other than high school musical.

and....kazaam! that was a good movie as well.

It hasn't even been 10 years since Smart House was made, and godDAMN. That TV movie is hilariously outdated. Oh god. I cringe now when I think about it.

God, yes, I remember Zenon. Didn't that movie end up being a trilogy of movies? God. The titles got cheesier with each sequel. (Zenon: the Zequel? Zenon: Z3? WTF?) Oh, and don't forget Jett Jackson, the TV show that eventually spawned the TV movie. The sad thing is the fact I looked forward to the new TV movie every month on Disney. But, ya know, that was back when Disney was JUST starting to suck. Now it sucks hardcore.

There was a TV movie with Hillary Duff and Christy Carlson Romano in it several years ago... um, what was it. Oh yeah, Cadet Kelly. God. That movie was beautifully HORRIBLE.

I need to go find a list of every Disney TV movie they've put out between like 1998 to 2003, and poke fun at these.

Ohhhh! Remember Rip Girls? Good lord, lol.

Incidentally, the only Disney TV movie that I thought was decent had Christy's co-star in it, Shia LaBeouf, in it... Tru Confessions. If I remember correctly, that movie was based on a true story. It wasn't too bad.
