Default Los Angeles Area Mansions

Like many people, I like to look at houses for sale on real estate sites, especially interior views.

Here are some real impressive ones I found, along with some details:

This is a 9 bedroom, 12 bathroom mansion in the exclusive, gated Hidden Hills district. This huge mansion is 17,129 square feet. It has an 8-car garage and a 20-seat theatre as shown in the second photo.

Two more:

The entryway of a 10,500 square foot home in Calabasas.

And a large dining room in a 10,000 square foot home in Long Beach. This house is for sale for "only" $8.4 million. Anyone interested in buying?

I'll take the first one off of their hands.

Yeah, I bet you would! That is my favorite one, too.

Here is another... the master bedroom of a mansion in Toluca Lake (the area Bob Hope used to live). I forgot what the price on this one was (as if it matters).

I have a friend who lives in that area of Long Beach. It's in Bixby Knolls and it is extremely nice. I like the way it's sort of tucked in-- enveloped by some busy streets and store fronts, the country club, and the 710 freeway.

Yeah, I didn't realize there were those kind of houses in Long Beach.

Those are beautiful. I love that huge staircase. It's a bit out of my price range though, lol.

Long Beach is quite underrated, IMO. But I sort of want it to stay that way. It's like a jewel not many locals know about.

Some highlights:
Downtown LB
University Park Estates (across from Long Beach State) - homes designed in a 60's modern style. Many developed by Richard Neutra.
Belmont Shore/ Belmont Heights - upscale beachfront community. A cleaner version of Santa Monica.
Bixby Knolls - huge beautiful mansions. Possibly the most ethnically diverse affluent area in the U.S.
California Heights - smaller, yet still pricey homes adjacent to Bixby.
The Wrigley Neighborhood - upper middle-class Latino area. Unique homes designed in Dutch, Colonial Revival, and Spanish styles.

Yes, it looks like Long Beach has wealthy areas along with the modest areas.

Kind of like Torrance, too. There are good and not-so-good parts of that city.

As Liza Minnelli said in the great movie "Arthur"

"Nice place. I love a living room you can land a plane in."

Check this one out... a mansion in Bel-Air selling for $29,995,000.
9 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, a total of 34,458 square feet...

Look at that staircase and the bowling alley!
