The writing on The Big Bang Theory is absolutely brilliant (both content and wit). I've never missed an episode.

I've watched both shows - HIMYM is okay, but Big Bang Theory is a great show - I never missed an episode this season. I just think it got majorly overlooked this season by critics and viewers.

The Big Bang Theory is no longer being overlooked by the critics. They just ranked it # 14 in their recent best shows poll in all of television including cable programs, which has to be about 300 shows. See here :

Both are pretty funny, so I'm going to my tiebreaker- eye-candy.

I give the edge to Big Bang Theory.

(Seriously- Kaley Cuoco or Cobie Smulders? That's a no-brainer)

I like them both, but my vote goes to How I Met Your Mother. Neil Patrick Harris rocks!
