Default Eddie Murphy To Retire From Movies?

Eddie Murphy has hinted the much-anticipated Beverly Hills Cop 4 film will be his last, because he wants to get back to stage work.

The funnyman was an acclaimed stand-up comedian before he became a movie star, and now he's keen to return to comedy clubs and theaters.

He says, "Thirty years and I have close to 50 movies and it is like, `Why am I in the movies? I've done that part now.' I'll go back to the stage and do stand-up." But he's still keen to get a fourth Beverly Hills Cop film made - after years of looking at bad scripts for the project: "The third one was horrible, so I didn't want to do another one."

And he insists he isn't making the new film in the franchise for the money. He adds, "The (third) movie wasn't ready to be done and they (producers) wrote some s**t down on paper and I said, `Is this your phone number?' and they said, `This is how much we're going to pay you.' I said, `Let's go shoot it! I don't care if the script ain't right.'"

He should quit doing movies if he's gonna continue making these corny movies he's been making. Life was his last good flick to me. Beverly Hills Cop 3did suck. If he's gonna do a part 4, i hope Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser are gonna be in it. I would also like to see Eddie's boss because that black dude is funny. I don't know his name but he had me laughing in the first 2 Beverly Hills Cop's. Here's a funny scene between Eddie and his boss from the first one.

Eddie Murphy:Hey we're talking about a friend of mine here.
Eddie's boss:Yes we are, aren't we? Let's take a real good look at that. One, a hoodlum friend LOL. Two, in a cop's apartment. Three, a professional hit.
Eddie Murphy:How do you know it was a professional hit?
Eddie's boss:I didn't just walk into this town from the cotton fields LOL. Whoever killed your friend sure wasn't worried about your narrow ass because if they were, you'd be laying in that meatwagon next to him LOL. Just don't do a damn thing.
Eddie Murphy:Well i got some vacation time coming and i wanna take my vacation.
Eddie's boss:Alright when you go to the hospital, you can take your vacation. But if you decide to butt into this case, it'll be the longest vacation you ever heard of LOL.

Then again maybe Eddie can't retire from doing movies since he has 8 kids hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I read recently he still hasn't seen his daughter that he had by Spice Girl singer Melanie Brown. At first he acted like the kid wasn't his and now when he found out after taking a sperm test that the kid is his, he agreed to pay her child support.
