Default Another wardrobe malfunction...

And I'm NOT talking about Janet Jackson!!! We were talking on here before about the 1st season wardrobe with the girls wearing skimpy shorts in Peekskill, NY year-round. I've always noticed another problem with wardrobe in the season 3 episode, "The Academy" where Jo fixes her friend from military school up with Blair and Mrs. G. and the girls all go to this military academy dance. Is it just me, everybody, or are Natalie and Tootie wearing dresses that are WAY too old for their age in that episode??? It could just be my imagination, but I think they're wearing old-lady-type dresses instead of looking like teenage girls at a dance...especially Natalie.

This really doesn't fall under the subject of "wardrobe malfunction" but what was the costumer thinking when he or she picked the dress that Jo wore to Mrs. Garrett's wedding? That was an awful dress. And wearing it with sneakers and socks was even more tacky.

Jo was wearing SNEAKERS AND SOCKS for Mrs. Garrett's wedding??? I've definitely seen "Out of Peekskill" before and *I* sure didn't catch that!!! But then again, I was probably too busy weeping because we were losing Mrs. Garrett!

OMG yes...this subject really has no end for me, because I hated almost every outfit every person wore on the show. However, one does stand out: I have always DESPISED that horrific peasant dress Jo wore to the cotillion in "Double Standard." Just thinking about it makes me weep, and every time I see it a die a little inside.

Pretty effective, hey?

You mean every outfit in every episode? Even on Blair?

ok I'm being forced to add qualifiers

Of course Blair always looked gorgeous, even when she had bad hair. And actually, aside from the bad hair, all of the girls looked fabulous. And no, I can't say I hated EVERY outfit in EVERY episode. I actually liked some of them. But I'm just not a fan of '80s fashion, so I don't like most of the clothes.

but don't get me wrong, Lisa Whelchel always looks amazing, she's too beautiful to be hampered by bad clothing

Knee socks were really, really popular during the mid-1980's. It even became a running joke during the 5th season with Boots St.Clair.

Blair never wore a bad outfit during the entire nine seasons. That's why she was Blair. Also, even though Blair was considered the stylish one, she actully dressed really conservative, especially beginning with the Edna's Edibles episodes.
