Default This thread is for the people who are TERRIFIED of roller coasters

My question to you is did your friends get mad at you because you didn;t want to get on certain rides??

I can't tell you how many times I was about to fight one of my friends because of statements like-"what did you even come here for if you are not going to get on anything?"

Any other people who don;t like getting on roller coasters have friends who tried to make them feel bad for not getting on rides??

my best friend used to be like that - terrified of most rides and it was hard for me to understand. and i admit i would get annoyed but i never tried to force her. but now i understand how she felt - as i've gotten older i'm not too keen on amusement park rides anymore. when i went to las vegas i got on a roller coaster for the fisrt time in years and was absolutely terrified (and not in a fun way) i can honestly say i won't be going to amusement parks anytime soon.

See I never understood the annoyance because they could have just said-"well forget you we are going to ride" and I would have been like-"ok see ya later"

But to get frowned up and said-"why even come here? I was ready to fight

i used to be afraid of roller coasters except for little ones, but i went on two huge ones in Six Flags last year and i CONQUERED my fear, and loved both of them.

*raises hand* i'm deathly afraid of roller coasters. my best friend and i went to six flags a year and a half ago and i honestly thought i would be able to get on some rides. i basically started freaking out in the parking lot when i saw how huuuuge they were! i went on viper (after about a half an hour of my bf convincing me i wouldn't die). it wasn't that bad! my eyes were closed for the most part though (when i opened them, i was upside down!). i tried to get on another ride, riddlers, but i chickened out last minute. and then it rained and we got to home! yay! lol.

but viper was a lot of fun, even though i was terrified. i'm thinking of going back this summer and really conquering my fear.

I've only been on one roller coaster and that was enough for me!! My sister is even more terrified of heights. Once at Six Flags, our brother and her boyfriend (now husband) tried to get her to go with them on one, but she refused.

I'm scared of roller coasters, especially the ones that turn upside down.

What was the one your freinds dared you to go on? Somehow I remember you mentioning that

Sad

I am nervous or scared about most amusement park rides, including Splash
Mountain and Space Mountain at Walt Disney World.

I've never been afraid of any ride, even as a kid growing up. And i would never try to make anyone ride a ride that he/she doesn't wanna ride. It's their choice. I did once ride this Farris Wheel type ride. As the Farris Wheel went around, you were in this cage that was also going around (turning you upside down), and some how i hurt my hand trying to hold on. I've never rode that ride again.

I don't think my friends got mad at me, but they probably thought I was a dork or something. Too bad; I seriously hate roller coasters and fast rides.
