Katherine Heigl has come under fire after saying she pulled out of the Emmy race because Grey’s Anatomy didn’t give her strong material last season. But a new report from Life & Style claims that the popular actress seemed unfazed by all the hoopla as she watched her husband, singer Josh Kelley, perform at LA’s Hotel Cafe on June 20.

Asked if she’s returning to the show next season, Katherine told Life & Style, "Of course, absolutely. Those people are like my family." The report notes that while Katherine, 29, didn’t specifically address the brouhaha over her recent remarks, she was more positive about the show’s writers this time.

Talking about her castmates, she told the weekly entertainment magazine, “It’s so funny because we have such serious material to perform, and then we spend the whole day joking around.” It’ll be no laughing matter, though, if Katherine eventually does exit the show. But the Grey’s execs are prepared.

“They already have a wish list of who can fill the void,” says an insider. “They will introduce a new, intense blond bombshell who will get people talking about the show like they used to.”

She already wrote her ending on "Grey's" with her previous comments. They are going to remain cordial, but I'm almost certain that they are looking to replace her asap. She will probably be killed off in next season's finale.
