George Carlin on TJGS - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I noticed that George Carlin is credited with having appeared on The Jackie Gleason Show in both 1968 and 1969. Can anyone give me any additional info on these appearances? I'm curious as to whether these were just interviews, or he actually took part in some of the sketches (no Honeymooners sketches aired on those dates). I checked YouTube, but found nothing.

He was a guest, from what I call, on the variety shows. I think he did the kind of schtick he did in those days. I seem to recall that on the 1969 appearance, Carlin did a routine relating to then-FBI director J. Edgar Hoover that led to an investigation from the bureau. I once saw some documents on a website which had the pages pertaining to this investigation.

For anyone that's interested, George Carlin's 1969 appearance on The Jackie Gleason Show was included as a bonus on the DVD for Carlin's final HBO stand-up, It's Bad For Ya. It is also interesting to note that this was an MPI release...here's the link for it at Amazon.com:
