That was Rhonda Bates. She's 6'2" and an Arkansas native. I remember seeing her on Speak Up, America!, and she was also a regular on Blansky's Beauties.

I remember seeing her on some reality show way back in 1980 or 81 (years before the term "reality show" was around) and later reading a review of the show in the newspaper and the reviewer called her a "female Gomer Pyle"

I remember back in the 70s when the show originally aired on NBC and in it's last season they used plots from episodes of GOMER PYLE: U.S.M.C. and that guy played the Gomer part with Sharkey in the Sgt. Carter part.
