Not really, though, about the government part. I've never even had a detention. I just wanted to let everyone know that starting Saturday I won't be here for three weeks. One of my best friends has family in Germany, and they asked me to go along with them for their visit this summer. I'll be going to her father's hometown in Germany among other places, and we're also visiting Tuscany in Italy. I should be back in the U.S. July 23ish, but I don't know if I'll be home by then. Definitely a day or two after that I'll be back here.

Anywhoo, just letting ya'lls know. I'm pretty pumped, I've only ever been to Canada...

Better bring a ton of money with ya - the Euro is worth more than the US dollar. Right now, €1 = $1.57.

Awesome, what region of Germany are you going to be staying in?

I'm moving to Germany fall of 09 for an internship and I am beyond excited. It's a fantastic country, great people, good food, lots to see and do. Take lots of pictures, too.

Well, my friend's dad's family is in Bruhl, Germany which is a pretty small town. That's where we stay when we get back from Italy. For the first week we'll be staying somewhere right outside of Munich I think.

Don't worry, I'm all set on the Euros and I'll def take plenty of pics
