Jefferson gets an office job at a department store. There, a co-worker, Melissa Koper [Lori Loughlin] makes advances at Jefferson, despite the fact that he's married. Later, he finds himself in Marcy's doghouse when she discovers a trace of lipstick on Jefferson's collar. He tries to reason with Marcy, but she throws him out. Meanwhile, Jeff, Jr. and Darby are sent to bed early for playing with their food and throwing it at each other.

David Garrison reprises his Steve Rhoades role in this ep. Just as Marcy and Jefferson are arguing over something, Steve makes a surprise visit. Jefferson engages in a shouting match of his own with Steve and the two next physically fight with each other. Marcy screams that the guys are acting like...spoiled children.

Gail Edwards guest stars as Laura Ann Kirk, a former high school girlfriend of Jefferson's. When he goes to a reunion of his class, Laura Ann makes eyes at him and tries to make love, but when Marcy sees what's going on she goes ballistic and refuses to speak to Jefferson. Also, the twins are assigned to do book reports. Marcy foists Susan Faludi's "Backlash" on Jeff, Jr., while Darby does one on Kathleen Parker's "Save The Males", one of Jefferson's books. Jeff, Jr.'s report fails while Darby gets a straight A. Marcy has a fight with the twins' teacher-who happens to be a woman-over Jeff's failing grade. Marcy calls the teacher a "female impersonator", the teacher-unknown-sets Marcy straight.

Marcy drags Jefferson to see "The Vagina Monologues", to teach him to open his mind, however, unbeknownst to Marcy, Jefferson's "No, Ma'am" friends are in the audience, and, to Marcy's anger, hurl insults at the comediennes. As a result, Marcy takes Jefferson and his cronies-Al is not seen-to sensitivity training sessions, where the No, Ma'am guys start brawls with their classmates, resulting in the guys being sent to jail. Marcy reluctanly bails Jefferson out.
