Default Never Realized Until Now

Last night I was having a movie Marathon, I was watching Cooley High and I never realized until last night that Cabrini Green Projects was where the Characters lived.

I have to say that the Evans had it made From what I saw in the movie (which I gather was actually shot inside and around the projects) The Evans apartment was cheerful, bright and clean LOL.

That was a gritty neighborhood back in the 70‘s.

But I never realized that Cooley High and Good Times had a neighborhood in common. So if you ever want to see where the Evans "lived", watch Cooley High. That is, if you have never seen the movie

Eric Monte, who created Good Times, wrote the storyline for Cooley High, he also grew up in the Cabrini Green Projects himself. It's funny how on Good Times, how none of the characters mentioned Cabrini Green by it's name, at least I can't recall if they did.

Maybe they couldn't for legal reasons. I remember watching a behind the scenes look at the movie 8 mile and the producer said that they paid the residents so they could show the addresses on the homes.
