So I was wondering the history behind Fonzie's leather jacket...what kind of jacket specifically did he wear (not only the exact color but the brand name), how many leather jackets did he wear on the show (did he wear the same one for the 10 years) and where the idea for it came up exactly...I'm guessing with the Fonzie character put into play, the jacket came with it, much like the bike but if somebody could give some info on it, that'd be great...thanks.

actually there is a bunch of information out there about the jackets, but I don't think anyone knows what brand the ORIGINAL one was.

there were at least three; the original black one (the stolen one?), one in the Smithsonian, the slightly larger one he switched to in the middle of the series, the ugly brown one used at the end
