Default What Blind Buy Purchases on DVD have you made in 2008?

The Sitcomsonline review for Gomer Pyle season 1 has made me decide to finally buy Gomer Pyle, because of the bonus features like the PILOT ep and Jim Nabors Guest appearance on the Lucy show and footage of his Show-"jim Nabors hour"

So I'm going to make not on my first blind buy purchase of 2008 but my first blind buy purchase of my DVD watching life-lol

Anyone make a blind buy purchase this month?

Here are some of my blind purchases of television discs for the year 2008, most of which were pretty good:

"Hardcastle and McCormick" S3
"Hawaii Five-O" S3 and S4
"Lucy" S1 and S2

I made a few blind buys this year. So far I am happy with my "Heroes", "Lost", and "That 70's Show" purchases.

I purchased The Mickey Rooney Show aka Hey Mulligan and I managed to watch about 5 episodes out of 39. It is a freaky, out of body viewing experience.

I was going to blind purchase "The Goldbergs" but havent gotten around to it yet.
Gomer Pyle is a great show. I havent seen the show in a long time but the episodes I remember are
Carol Burnett episodes - just great
Gomer trying to return a baby buggy - hahaha
Sgt Carter's Car getting stolen - classic!
Gomer keeps puncturing the raft--A+

I will get this series if it comes out as a boxed set or if it is on sale. I will see what they have on youtube tonight.

Just started watching the DVD and decided to rewatch the PILOT before the actual episodes.

This is just to let you know what you have to look forward to

My point is some shows are really blind buys "Mickey Rooney-Goldbergs, etc... while others are just slam dunks aka Gomer Pyle

I blind-purchased season one of "Heroes" when it was on sale at Target for $19.99. I couldn't get enough while I was watching it (I stayed up late watching episode after episode), but when I reached the season finale, it kind of deflated for me. I don't plan on watching the DVDs ever again.

after reading that season 1 of "ROUTE 66" is coming out later this year, I think that'll be it, since it sounds like it'll be GREAT!!

I haven't seen that show in YEARS, since a local station used to show it late at night (REALLY late-around 4 a.m.!!! The exact time varied, they show it when their late-night movies would be over).
