Default Don't understanding the ENDING OF THE MOVIE CLAUDINE

Saw this movie today and the ending was the oldest son running from the Police and then trying to sneak in the wedding and then the police saw him and started attacking everyone and then the Family was inside the POLICE TRUCK and then the family is seen walking down the street and the closing credits are rolling up.

HUH??????

It is ironic you posted a topic about the movie, because I posted comments on Amazon about it yesterday. I will admit, the ending was a little weird, but that didn't take away from the good movie it was. I love the Gladys Knight "On and On" soundtrack to this movie. Get the DVD, I own it.

The reason the police started to attack everyone at the wedding was because that one police officer was trying to grab Charles and that big woman with that purse hit the police officer. So the were still trying to arrest Charles so them Claudine and Roop got into it. So everyone was going to jail. At the end when they were all walking down the street, I believe we are to assume that they were all released from the jailhouse lol

I think (I wasn't born back then) but a lot of black folks in the 70's especially in the tough part of town, they didn't care for the cops all that much.

You should see the movie Cornbread, Earl and Me

I can tell you right now that you prob won't like wattstax because it's mostly different artist singing at an outdoor concert with little clips of celebs talking about being black and black pride. So if you really like 70's music (like me) then you will like the movie/concert, but if you do not care for it then you will be bored.
