Default Shout announces A Christmas Ozzie & Harriet DVD!

According to tvshowsondvd.com Shout Factory will release a single 90 minute Christmas themed disc on Sept 16 (I can see that date changing), it is already up for pre-order at amazon...which lists it as being in color, which has to be a mistake.....fantastic news but wished it was more extensive since O&H had at least 10 Christmas themed episodes, but beggers can't be choosy!

They are also reporting that the release will include Rick singing 'Baby I'm Sorry" so maybe our resident expert "CJ" can figure out what episode will definatley be included in this release, since "CJ" has expertly tied every Rick song to the episode it comes from!

It will be interesting to see which 3 they pick (or 4 depending on how much they cut an ep) I REALLY HOPE they're not Busy Christmas, The Girl At The Emporium, The Christmas Tree Lot, or A Piano For The Fraternity - it be so nice to have an addition to the Xmas eps I have already. And YES can't be in color as only last season was color.

Well, it sounds to me like it will include this one, then.

Oh well, maybe I'll luck out on the other choices. I've been doing pretty good with Shout (only 50% of first set were repeaters)

It's great that O&H must be making good sales for SHOUT for them to continue to put out more offerings.

I agree it would be nice if some other Christmas episodes could be included besides the same old same old that have been released on so many other dvds. If I were choosing two I would include would be Day After Christmas and The Miracle I think it is called, I call it CAn Ozzie make it snow, as I talked about in another thread.

The Girl at the Emporium has a Christmas theme, in that they are in the holiday season, but it really isn't Christmasy.

I'd be great if the next relsease from Shout regarding O&H was that they were releasing the Complete uncut First season.

These new offerings are just wonderful and have me so exciting. For someone who's a real fan (and I am) my collection is relatively small (about 165-170 right now) so the more eps I can get the better.

What I really hope is Mill Creek releases another set. All things considered, they did a wonderful job.

The early yrs are not my fav ones and I'm not crazy abt the season by season releases other shows do - I like releases having a mix - but there may be something I don't know as you are a more savvy collector than I. (Everything I've gotten has been thru stores, no trading so far, really do need to think abt this route or buying from collectors,or I'll never have a real collection unless Shout or Mill Creek keep up their pattern up of coming thru with these amazing releases)

Does anyone know just how many public domain episodes are out there? I really need to organize my collection and see just how many episodes I do have.

This might help a little. Below, is my ''missing'' list of 92 episodes. I know there are a few more on this list that are ''available'', I just haven't been able to locate them. The ones I do have are from Disney, film transfers, a couple of different family-type channels, DVD's I have picked up along the way, and the official releases. Oh, and ME TOO in Chicago will begin airing O&H again in July at 2:30am. They are beginning with the 5th episode, Halloween Party.

Check your episodes, folks !!! If anyone can provide ANY one of these missing titles for me, I would love to hear from you.

Wow! That's a lot of work for you to do. I do appreciate it. It seems I'm missing about 175 episodes. Some of the titles throw me since a few sound familiar until I see another title that might fit the episode too.

I just cut & pasted it from my ''Ozzie'' file, LOL.

If you are unclear about an episode, I may be able to help you sort it out if you provide a little episode detail. I have encountered a few that I have had to change, thinking I had them, only to find out they were still among my missing.

I hope to make that my next project, organizing the O & H episodes, so I will probably take you up on that soon. Thanks!

I believe I have 7 episodes of the ones CJ is missing. Curiosity, The Painter, Too Many Children, A Tuxedo for David, The Buckingham, An Interset For Harriet and Lending Money to Wally.

I thought I had another one but ended up what I had thought was it's title was something different of what it is. I'm with Honeybea. It's HARD to figure out what some of the titles go to what show because some shows seem to be able to go with a couple different titles.

I want to double check all my tapes, but that's what I can figure so far by my old lists. I hadn't updated them in a while, when I know I added a few more episodes that were on some Christian channel a few years ago.

I like season by season. Unct, and provided they continue for the entire duration of the series, because then I know I am getting Every episode of what show it is I'm collecting. I also like to watch them in 'real' time. In order the entire series, of few seasons in a row every once in a while. It's like watching the show and characters grow. You can also get a sense of when the show really started coming into it's own. You know how a lot of times the first season of so of a show, the feel to it is entirely different than the rest of the series. I like having entire series, and watching the natural progression of the show.

I did that recently with Family Affair, I have all 5 season sets. I watched wach one as they came out, then after the 5th I started at the beginning and watching 2-3 episodes a night, went through and watched the entire series beginning to end. It was fun to see Buffy and Jody gradually aging every night.
