You guys all know my "Darryl" stories, right? Well, I may be liable to get sued by two parties.

Darryl is based on a Michael Jackson character he played in a video called BAD(also named Darryl). Turns out, BAD was Michael's adaptation from a true story about a honors student named Edmund Perry, who was killed at 17 by the victim he tried to mug. Edmund's family can sue me, and so can Michael jackson himself!

omg, there are no copyrights to people's existences, nor are you selling the stories. 99% of US citizens would be getting sued if that were the case.

You're only breaking copyright law if you publish someone's else's work and claim it as your own. I often use song lyrics in my fanfics, which would be quite illegal if I was publishing these stories for money since I don't have permission to use these songs.

exactly...no one is going to sue you for making a character similar to a real person for a story on some message board. lol.

But maybe he wouldn't sue me, because he's the one who let the Pepsi company burn his hair, and didn't sue....(Okay, he himself admitted that the accident was his own fault because he mixed flammable hair products with fire, but.....)
