On the opening of Days of Our Lives are they still using McDonald Carey's voice saying "like sand through an hourglass, so are the days of our lives"?

Yes, my friend is a huge DOOL fan and she said that they are still using that for the opening of the show.

yeah, after he died, they announced they would continue to use him in the opening and the midway though segment.

It's not the original recording though. I think they redid it in 1993 or around that time. It used to be that still picture of the hourglass with the blue cloud background and now it's computerized so it looks like it's turning. Kind of cool, really even though the show has been crap for years!

Never really watched it so I cant say it's good or bad, just think its nice they are still using McDonald Carey's voice at the begining. Talk about crap, try watching the Guiding Light these days.

The only difference is after Mac died, the words "This is Macdonald Carey and these are the Days Of Our Lives" is no longer heard.
I suppose it would be a little cryptic hearing a person who's been deceased for nearly fifteen years identifying himself.
