I saw the show. My only comment abt the gangster list is that Godfather II should have been number 2. THEN, Goodfellas. I mean, Godfather II stands on its own merit, regardless of it being a sequel. How many other sequels won an Oscar for Best Picture?

Glad to see Moonstruck made one of the lists. It a delightful movie...CHER WAS JUST SUPERB - she truly deserved that Oscar.

You know, I will argue that Godfather 1 and 2 belong on the list as 1 and 2, but I have no problem with Goodfellas being considered the best mob movie ever.

As someone who has seen the Godfatherfilms a ton of times, I was blown away when Goodfellas was released.

Yes, for a time I considered it to be the best mob movie ever.

They all deserve to be in the top three, as to how you want to rank them, well, that is a subject we could talk about until the end of time.

I was lucky enough to catch this when it aired, and I must say, for the most part I agree with the choices. Some of the 'Epic' selections I disagree with, but I was thrilled to see "Wizard of Oz" as #1 for the fantasy category!!

As far as sequels go, I think that The Empire Strikes Back absolutely should be in the top 10 for Sci-Fi.

I like the list for Sci-Fi somewhat, but Back to the Future does not deserve to be there and I feel that the first Terminator movie is much stronger than the second once you get past all the effects. And that thumbs up ending from Arnold actually tainted the movie for me the second I walked out of the theater.

And E.T. should be on the Fantasy list in my book.

I'll never understand 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's a great movie as far as visuals are concerned but I've never understood it.

2001 is one of those movies you have to watch a few times before you can really understand it. Reading the novel helps make everything clearer too.

I tried watching that one twice and the only thing I got out of it was some much-needed sleep. It's quite possibly the most boring movie I've ever seen.

Now I like Cher, and I like Nick Cage, and my sister loves this movie, but I just don't see how!! I can't say it's the 'most boring' *cough cough* Eyes Wide Shut/Blair Witch Project *cough cough* I just never saw the appeal.

And I'm sorry but I really can't stand it when they always show that scene where Cher slaps Nick and yells "Snap out of it"!

It is hard to say for me how I would categoize some of these movies. Personanly, I never considered Star Wars as a "sci fi" movie. Blade Runner? Yes. plenty of the standard sci fi elements in it. To me, the Star Wars movies are action/adventure films. Sci Fi has always been for me the Iaasic Asimov/ Ray Bradbury stuff.
