Default Support needed for Father Knows Best

I started a petition asking Shout Factory to create ALL Father Knows Best episodes as well as a special project by Billy Gray with an in-depth interview, what it was like being "Bud, all american boy", on the social responsabilities of the industry and actors alike, and other things. Billy has long said he regretted being a part of the show once he was grown and his project DVDs will explain why.....and more. While chatting in email with Billy he mentioned he had made this proposal to Shout Factory so I suggested this petition would be easier to get to people than for them to individually write Shout! Factory. Billy said it's a "great idea, go for it". So, I did :-)

Your support is needed to show Shout! Factory there is enough interest to go ahead with the project. Your info is private from web crawlers and spammers, just click the box next to "private".
Thank you

I want to be very delicate in the way I phrase and express my opinion here....first...does Billy Gray still regret his participation in "FKB" or has he put it all in perspective as he ages as many actors who sometimes regret something, they eventually understand the historical importance of their role in television history and understand the perks along the way that yes sometimes sets you back in life but also puts you ahead. (listen up Gary C).......if Billy still has bad feelings, then participating in negative extras in the "FKB" sets would not be the place for it....look at all what Lauren Chapin has gone though but still has a positive outlook on life. I will possibily elaborate more when I get more information and understanding to my question.

I once listened to a pity party roundtable as once-kid actors sat around and griped about how they put-upon they were. Patty Duke, Paul Petersen, Bill Gray, Kim Fields, others. Frankly, there were no specifics and a lot of mish-mosh. I'm sure the world of the child actor can be difficult, but I found it hard to relate...

Other grown child actors express regret for their roles...Gary Coleman comes to mind. But who would ever have heard of Billy, Gary, or any of these people, without their childhod fame?

Sorry, Billy, Gary, Paul, Patty et al...I'm not buying it...don;t know about the rest of you.

Maybe they are upset that their fame didn't continue into adult acting roles and this is their way of getting atention. They may get attention, but I doubt anyone would hire them for parts with their attitude.

I read Jerry Mathers' comments on the Leave It To Beaver Board and he seems fine with his life after LITB even tghough he never had that fame again.

Jerry's book, And Jerry Mathers as the Beaver, is a good read. I got the impression he had a great childhood. Lots of good tales...

By the way Tony Dow was part of the roundtable mentioned above. But he didn't have much to say. I doubt either one of them would have taken part in the New LITB if they had lots of problems as show biz kids.

I've seen a few interviews with Tony Dow and he's never had anything negative to say about his acting days, seems like a very nice man. You're right, they probably wouldn't have been in the NEW LITB if they hated it so much. So many actors refused to even do reunion shows. Eve Plumb of The Brady Bunch is a good example. She always said she didn't want to be remembered as Jan Brady, well, what else would we remember her from.
