I found the whole opening number quite embarrasing for the actors who obviously agreed to appear, I was shocked Gary particiapted, especially when they were being referred to as their character names. I guess his new wife is putting some demands on him to bring some money home, as referenced by Gary on "Divorce Court".

Thank you. That is what I was thinking. Could this be his way of finally accepting the Arnold character and embracing it? I mean, I was shocked as hell when they called him the ARNOLD NAME.

It is better for him to earn money (if he did) by using his DS character rather than bitch and moan abt things.

I think poor Gary (I do like him) is too permantely screwed up but maybe he is realizing (though I doubt it) that if he needs to make money he better embrace it.....On the today show a few months back he was plugging some silly internet butter is better thing and he said his best work was still in front of him....and he said like the butter campaign...dream on Gary..lol....I did read somewhere that him and Todd are making an autograph appearance together at a collectors show.......that's a very good thing.......he needs to cash in now while Diff'rent Strokes is on BET and is enjoying such a resurgence. But I still think (as you guys agreed) that the TV Land Awards opening was extremely embarrasing for all involved...especially since they already had Kelly fly last year which worked and was cute, but they had to milk it and couldn't even come up with a fresh idea....Irene's logo says it all about TV Land!

Ohhhh I so agree. The whole flying thing was cheesy, over-the-top and plain embarrassing. I was embarrassed for those celebs. Why couldn't they have just done some musical number together? Seeing the guys especially with their pants WAAAAAY UP TO THEIR WAIST and seeing how it must have been somewhat painful in the private area, if you know what I mean.

Well, CRAPland will rerun the awards show to death.

I thought you weren't watching that stupid game? What a waste of an NBA final.
