Was season 1 in Black and White or Color? Just asking because the Pilot was in Black and White on AG
2. Did the Joke of Gomer being a Goofball around the Sargeant ever get old? 3. When exactly did the SGT and Gomer become friends? |

1. the first season was in black and white; and the rest of the seasons were in color.
2. That's really a matter of opinion; but I never thought so. 3. I think it was in the 2nd season, but just somewhat at first. But, from what I remember (haven't seen it in years) Sgt. Carter was Gomers friend every once in a while in the first season. I remember seeing a scene in a black-and-white episode once on TV LAND, where Carter came out of someones office and Pyle was doing something, and Carter smiled and patted him on the shoulder. And once there was a color episode where Carter had Pyle transfered to the paratroops to "get him out of his hair". But then, he found out it was hazardous, felt sorry for Pyle, and tried to get him back. |
