Post Fred Gwynne

Hi! I'm new here. I'm a huge Munsters fan and have a large collection. There is one thing that I have always wondered about: in later pictures of Fred Gwynne (after Car 54 and the Munsters) he has a tattoo on his left arm. I have always wondered what this was a picture of and when he got it. Anyone know? Thanks!

I didn't know that little piece of trivia, but since we're talking about Fred Gwynne, he was one of my favorite actors. His last role, I believe, was as the judge in My Cousin Vinny. I'm so glad that he had a chance to share his talents in this movie; he was a very important part of that movie. I can't picture anyone else in that role. ("What's a yute?" )

Agreed. When I first became a fan, I thought Pet Sematary was his last film because he looked so much older (the dyed white hair threw me off, lol) in that one.

Too bad people didn't allow him more chances to really show off his acting abilities.

I agree. I thought he was funny without trying to be overtly funny, unlike Joe Pesci, for example. Gwynne's facial expressions alone were priceless.

He was great as the judge and that line about the "Yute" just killed me!

I remember his comebacks with the floor and Hundai commercials, before Pet Cemetary and My Cousin Vinny.

Yah he was great in My Cousin Vinny. "Are you mocking me" he he I love when Joe Pesci has to wear that second hand suit.
