Pick 2 shows that have Similarity. For Example

The Cosby Show And Home Improvement.
On both shows the Wives never wanted Their Husbends to fix thing because they would break, but one Difference was that Cliff would Just Break things and Tim would usually Blow thing up after trying to put in more power.

I would actually say that Home Improvement and According to Jim are very similar. Both are practically the same the show, about families, of course, and about the husband screwing up and the wife forgiving him, basically. You can probably add George Lopez to that list, too, but not to a full extent.

Boy Meets World and The Wonder Years were practically the same show, especially since both Fred and Ben Savage starred in each of them.

Family Matters and Step by Step had a lot of similarities.

"The Brady Bunch," "Step by Step," and "Life with Derek" all have one major thing in common: they're about two single-parent families joining together through marriage. SBS and LWD are more in common though because there's usually a rivalry of some sorts between the two sets of kids/teens. But, at the same time, LWD's opening credits are similar to the Bradys' because it has a sky blue background with boxes all over the place.

Alice / It's a Living: A show about waitresses

Off the top of my head:

Golden Girls/Designing Women - Both shows had 4 ladies under one roof and both shows were situated in the southeast parts of the U.S.

Head of the Class/Welcome Back Kotter - both shows were about the teacher returning back to the schools they graduated from to teach classes of remedial students. Difference: HotC had overachievers, WBK had underachievers.

Diff'rent Strokes/Webster - both shows had a plot about Caucasian parents adopting African-American children after their real parents died.

Sanford and Son/Chico and the Man - both shows were situated in L.A. and both shows had an old man working his business w/ their younger sidekicks.

Many Facts of Life fans will tell you that GOLDEN GIRLS is FACTS OF LIFE, except the ladies are much older.

GOLDEN GIRLS, DESIGNING WOMEN and LIVING SINGLE? All three shows are
about a quartet of single women (of different ages, of course).

Happy Days and What's Happening!-Both shows centered on 3 teens at a hang out joint and centered at home as well. HD had Fonzie who was a friend of the trio and the Cunninghams, and WH had Shirley who was a friend of that trio and the Thomases. Also, Fonzie eventually moved in withe the Cunninghams, and Shirley eventually moved in with the Thomases.

Who's the Boss? and Charles in Charge- Both shows about two young Italian guys move in to baby sit children while the parents work.

Barney Miller and Cheers--The setting of each was the focal point (the precinct or the bar). Most of the scenes were confined to these two places, and the clash of personalities, their words and individual quirks in each venue was what made the show, I feel.
