Default Animal Abuse

Shame on you, Lance Cpl. David Motari and Cris Encarnacion. I know stuff like this happens in war and outside of war but it's just horrible.

Someone posted David Motari's personal info as well as his Myspace all over youtube.

Myspace; http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndid=348896236

Won't post his address and phone number but it's easy enough to find.

I didn't see this on the link you posted but before he put his Myspace to private he had this to say about the puppy killing;
"I want to clear somethings up before tomarrow. This might be hard to believe but I am sorry about the dog. At the time I just really didn't care. When you are constantly under fire sometimes people develope a different sence of humor than what others are used to. That video was from over a year ago and i dont know who put it out there but it wasn't me. It has been a real hard day. I don't know how they got my information but someone got all my information and i had to disconnect my parents and my girlfriends phone. not to mention i had to redo my myspace because it got hacked. I just want this to end." And: "What, you expect me to carry a stray sick dog from patrol 10+ miles back to camp with me. Did you know that we're not supposed to have dogs? Did you know that there isn't medicine available for animals out there? So what the f-ck do you want me to do with it. It was going to die a slow and horrible death. Sorry you guys saw that, but it wasn't supposed to ever been shown. Usually what happens is we shoot them. I was being "creative" that day and decided to throw the dog instead. If i could take it back, I would. Either way, I did the dog a favor. Sorry if you can't understand that...Look, you guys didn't know that the dog was sick and starving by the road. I was helping it. That dog was going to die anyways."

I saw the video and I don't buy it. He acts like a hero here and yet both of them were laughing and making fun of the puppy right before he threw it. And the yelping the puppy did as it was thrown was funny to them as well.

Very smart. I wish I hadn't but I just couldn't believe anyone could be that evil (although it shouldn't be hard to believe that). I've now spent most of the day angry and sad over this whole situation.
I'm glad to see some Marines and Animal Rights groups going after that monster.

Question

Do you think Marine Corps policy really does not allow Marines to have dogs?

This is just an honest question. I hope I don't get ripped for asking it.

I know some Marines and they aren't allowed to have dogs. However, they do get a few days - even a week - to find it a home or even ship the dog to their family etc. A lot of these guys find dogs and ship them back to the States to their wives/parents to take care of until they get home.
If the animal is sick and dying they can shoot them in the head. And while I think there are better options and don't fully support that... I could understand it a little more as it's quick and painless. What that guy did was torture and just cruel. Who knows if that poor little puppy even died or if it laid there suffering.
