check to see if the song by Prince-"I want to be your lover" is heard on the ep on the DVD. You know that there is always a situation where music rights stop a song from being heard so just wanted to know if Prince Song is heard on that ep on the DVD
Thanks |

It isn't. They replaced it with generic music.

What's weird is, if I remember correctly, there was another episode on the Season 2 DVDs with a Michael Jackson song in it, yet that song wasn't removed. I'm guessing the problem was on Prince's end.

I think Sony owns Michael Jackson's music catalog, so I doubt they'll have a problem with any of his songs.
As for Prince, I recall Universal having an issue with "Little Red Corvette" on the Knight Rider sets. It's especially interesting considering they were able to get the other music without any problems, but when it came to Prince, it was an issue. I do wonder if it is because of Prince himself...I wouldn't be surprised, to be honest, but it's just a guess... |

There was a story recently about Prince or his people going after someone who posted a YouTube video of their baby dancing around to a Prince song, so it seems there's an issue with Prince songs being used ANYWHERE.

I take it he is very protective of his music.

And the only reason I found out was because I used to buy old Jet Magazines off of ebay and saw in the back of a 1978 Jet where they are listing the hottest songs, he was in there with a HUMONGOUS AFRO-lol |
