Todd Kelly and more

Not sure if that last name was spelled correctly. He was dating someone named Christy Mutzfeld and she was also seeing some foreign student named Mahfuz? I think that I remember from watching the segment that Todd's father thoght Kristy knew more than she was saying and that she wasn't allowed to attend his funeral. Any updates on this case? Btw, Todd's last name may be spelled Kelley, just wasn;t sure.

and second,

Does anyone remember the case of Larry Costine? He was found dead and his girlfriend Melissa Jo Sermons had disappeared at the same time.

and finally,

early on in the series, there was a segment about a lady who ran a dog kennel that was being harassed. I somehow thought this case was solved, but don't recall. I love coming to this board, and I appreciate all the answers that i have gotten. i cannot wait for the new episodes to start in the fall.

As for the first case, there has not been any updates to the Todd Kelly murder. Yes, Todd's family believed that Kristy was not giving the police the entire story, and believed she was not responsible for the death of Todd, but may have been involved in covering up his death.

The second case involving Melissa Jo Sermons still remains unsolved. There were sightings of her at several truck stops across the United States. Here is her page on charley project:

The last case is Mabel Woods. She had kept a very large kennel on her property. I can't remember is there was ever on update to this case, so maybe CD can help me out...

I haven't heard of the second case before, does someone have that one?
It sounds to me like Larry Costine was killed and Melissa Jo Sermons was kidnapped and taken to another location for sexual purposes, then killed and dumped where she couldn't be found.

That one is on volume 11. Melissa is still missing. There have been supposed sightings of her but I think its most plausible she was killed. I remember they said her ex-boyfriend seemed jealous she had been dating Costine.

The story about the kennel is Mabel Woods. I spoke via email several months ago with someone in the police department where the arson took place. He said there were never any arrests in the case and that Mabel was still alive but very elderly and currently lived in a nursing home.
