Well,So much for fans out here in sunny Southern Cal.........I've received word that neither Joyce NOR Priscilla will be a part of the Burbank Hollywood Collectors show anytime in 2008.And judging from the response I got when I enquired to the organizers,I get the impression that they think that J & P make themselves too easily available as opposed to some of the other more reclusive(and often moody)celebs of yesteryear. And it brings me to ask those of you lucky enough to have gotten to one of these displays over the last five years or so;How are fans often treated at these conventions? Are all the celebs usually piled into a lunchroom-type setting? Are fans herded like cattle at these things, meaning quickly in,quickly out? Or is it entirely dependent on whom you come to see? Of course based on whatever accounts I've heard & read, you're one of the more fortunate pack if it's J/P you seek out,but the atmosphere can vary from one place to the next. And what about these comic book &"science fiction"conventions I'm noticing they frequent more of? It seems they've been more likely to get snickering & ridicule through these channels. But are they doing brisk business at these places? I know that some of you have attended several of these things. How about some tips for catching these things ahead of time,at least?

Yeah, it pretty much depends on who the celebrity is. If it's a bigger name (Carrie Fisher for example at a Sci-Fi con) the lines can be a couple hours long or more, and it pretty much is a quick in & out experience. If it's not a bigger name and someone who doesn't have much of a line, sometimes they will take the time to talk to you for a bit. But yeah, for the Hollywood Collectors Show, Joyce & Priscilla have been there quite a bit so they wouldn't be as big of a draw for them anymore. Unfortunately, at the end of the day it all comes down to money.
