If your key breaks in half inside the lock and you are able to get it out of the lock, can you get a key made if u have both pieces at a locksmith? The key broke in the middle
not sure, this never happened to me before. I'm just desperate because this is the key to the front door of my APT building |

I'm not a locksmith or anything, but if you have both pieces you would think they would be able to match it up. As long as it stays together in the machine it should work.

I doubt it, they have to put your key into the grinder machine thing, And I doubt that your key will stay in one piece while the machine is tracing it. You probably have to go to your apartment office and ask for another key. I sure they have a spare.
