Default "Sex and the City" The Movie Discussion

I've never had a chance to see the new "Sex and the City" movie, but I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" last week and it was great! I've never seen it, but if I have a chance to see it, I will see it the movie soon.

Anyone seen the movie, please post!

You're singing to the choir!!!!

Just saw the movie yesterday - waited to avoid the mobs.Went during a matinee in a nice little theatre in Park Slope. Was the 1st time I've been to a theatre in 16 months and well worth the annual pilgrimage. Best $7.50 I've ever spent on a movie. When it comes out on DVD and drops down in price gonna buy it. Samantha's little dog is a hoot and truly takes after his "mama" LOL! Everyone was just great in the movie! True to character every last one. Very well done!

Love SJP and the movie looks interesting. Would "non" SITC viewers like it as well as fans?

As long as you're not put off by racey themes yes, but probably not as much as a die hard fan.

I don't know... I've seen a few episodes of the TV show and didn't really care for it that much, but I may give the movie a shot. Thanks!

Well if you weren't a fan of the show I'd try to see it cheap then like at a matinee...but since I'm a fan of the series I loved the movie...but being objective about it, I do think the movie was better than the series

I liked the movie but there were things I didn't like about it too. I don't understand why Miranda was made to be SUCH a ***** in the movie! I mean, I get that Miranda is a very serious person, she's the high powered lawyer and everything, but they made her look like crap in the movie, in my opinion. Of course Steve is going to cheat on you when you treat him like that. And I usually like Miranda, but she was just a complete bitch to her husband in this movie.

Charlotte....I find her a bit annoying, especially in later seasons. She really didn't deserve who she married. I think during the series they tried to make Trey the bad person. IMO Charlotte was for letting something liek him not being able to get it up completely RUIN their marriage.

I liked Samantha with Smith Jerrod so I was disappointed to see them break up.

Mr. Bigg was never a good man. After everything he put Carrie through for years, Mr. Bigg decided to HUMILIATE Carrie...because someone told him not to get married???? Please! Oh, let me be a jerk because it won't look good because I've been married 2 times before. Get the hell over it, buddy. lol. One of the marriages was with a woman you were cheating on with Carrie anyway.

just my random thoughts.

I'm with you on Samantha & Smith. He was a really good guy unlike that j**k-off Mr. Big. And I just LOVED Sam. She was so over.

I thought they made Miranda out to be a bigger b***h than in the series but she did have her moments in the 94 eps when she could be a real major ball buster.

Charlotte's the type you either REALLY LIKE or she makes you retch. I REALLY LIKED. She did need to get more with the program with Trey though. But she ended up with a nice lawyer guy and became a mom so it all worked out well for her.

Carrie you can have but WITHOUT HER there would have been no series. She gets an A+ for major shoe fetishes and an F- for her crappy taste and judgment in men. And for a sex columist IMO she was pretty vanilla.
