Default Father Knows Best-Season 2 coming!

According to a news release on June 2 from tvshowsondvd.com, Shout factory is planning on releasing Season 2 of FKB on November 11.

Let's hope they are all uncut episodes!

Well, I'm glad to see a season 2......but I wouldn't count on uncut episodes if Shout! only has access to the same sources as season 1.

yeah season 2 will probably be a mixed bag, too.

The biggest shock of season 1 was seeing that opener on one episode, which was the show opener plus an ad for Kent cigarettes. (A collector evidently sent them that ep.)

Very glad to hear that Season 2 of FKB is coming out! I really enjoyed the Season 1 release. Even if they had to use some of the cut episodes. Normally, I'm a sticker about things like that, but these haven't been seen in so long, it's good just to be able to see them again!

It would be nice to see the original uncut network version, but beggers can't be choosers!I would love to see as an extra E!TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY the one they did with LAURINE CHAPIN included.

I wonder also if season two will be full of cut/edited episodes like season one is. The season one DVD is terrible, if that's the best Shout Factory can do then they should not issue the DVD at all.

I think it was about half and half (I'd have to go back and count). It might be all that's left.

This was one of the most widely syndicated shows ever. They may have cut up original negatives.

Well, let's cross our fingers for season 2!

Season 2 will have the uncut episodes, including the lost episode "Stagecoach to Yuma". (This is considered lost because it wasn't generally shown in syndication). These episodes will come either from the uncut 1" masters or if the uncut masters couldn't be found, from uncut 16mm prints. See www.fatherknowsbest.com for more info.

Well that is a bit of good news. Just too bad the 1st season DVD's are so messed up.
